About This Venue
Pinot & Picasso Hunter Valley sits on High Street in Maitland and brings the paint-and-sip chain’s colourful energy to wine country. The single-room studio seats up to 24 budding artists, supplies fridges and glassware for BYO refreshments and welcomes families from Maitland, Port Stephens and the wider Hunter region.
Kids’ birthday packages start at $49 per child for a 90-minute private session available any day between 9 am and 3 pm. The price covers a 12 × 16-inch canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, table easel, apron and guided instruction from the studio’s resident artist, with family-friendly playlists setting the mood. Parents can bring their own snacks and juice boxes or upgrade to locally sourced pizza-and-graze boards from $25 a head. Artwork themes range from neon animals to bespoke designs geared to painters aged six through sixteen, and a non-refundable deposit secures the date while staff handle all set-up and clean-up.

It was a great way to bond, have a few laughs, and create something memorable together. You will also get to meet a gorgeous dog. If you’re looking for a unique and fun activity in the Hunter Valley, I highly recommend Pinot & Picasso. It’s a great way to unwind, get creative, and spend quality time with loved ones.
