FREAK VR Bondi

We booked the Valentine’s day session. The game was great, but my headset kept loosening on my head and had to readjust quite a few times. It would have been also great to get noise cancelling headsets as most of the time we heard people around screaming louder than the game itself or even each other. The visuals were also poor compared to my partner’s headset who said hers was not blurred (compared to mine, regardless of how I readjusted it). The timer also went too fast in the second half. We got a notif that we had 20 minutes left, which was followed by “only 10 minutes left” around 2 minutes later. At first I thought maybe time passes quickly in the game, but the same thing happened shortly after the notif above. The message of “ten minutes left” was followed very quickly by “five minutes left” which was called out by my partner at the time. The game was then quickly ended mid-game. We mentioned to the staff that the countdown seemed to have been manually adjusted/fastened to which they replied there were other people booked (?). We also felt we were given poor direction in terms of even starting the game. We spent a lot of time just looking around for the “start game” command. We also enquired whether the game we wanted to play was appropriate and the staff encouraged us to play. I believe either more time should be given and able to be booked, especially if you know most people do not finish (which we were told was due to difficulty, not time), which staff did admit, or a more appropriate game should be recommended. Other than that, the staff was nice, but the above left quite a bad taste in my mouth regarding the experience. We were advised to come back on a weekday evening to re-start the game for a cheaper price, but if I book and only am allowed one hour per game, I would like to receive full information about appropriate games and which one should be picked based on time and group size, not difficulty (we did not find it difficult per se, by the way), especially if I specifically ask.

We had a great time shooting zombies! Patricia was wonderful. She made us feel very comfortable and set us up for a super fun gaming session. Highly recommend ✨

We were two people and played half an hour of the zombie game, and we loved it!! The quality of the game makes you really feel like you're in the scene; we will definitely come back. The staff was also very friendly (a girl who was there last Saturday night).

The VR games here are mind blowing! Immersive high end graphics, incredible gameplay experience. Free roam arena games and arcade favourites including VR Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds and Google Earth. Recommendations - Arizona Sunrise for arena, Pistol Whip and Super Hot for arcade. If you’ve never done VR this is the place to try it.
