We had a terrible birthday experience for my 8 year old. I would avoid the weekend at all costs. We were delayed, as the whole Entertainment Quarter was closed due to a Swans game. So we asked for extra time. They were only willing to give us an five extra minutes, but then the game broke down for 5 minutes, due to technical issues. And they wouldn’t take that into account or compensate us for that. In the end, they stopped the kids game in the middle of the 8th frame, which created a big disappointment. It left a bad taste for what’s supposed to be a fun birthday activity. We then did Laser Tag and they brought in another group of 12 people. That made it so hectic that the birthday boy got injured from the chaos. If we knew that they would add adults to an 8 year old birthday party, we wouldn’t have chosen to participate. We’d previously had a great experience during the week, but we would never come back on the weekend. And we won’t be doing any birthday parties at Strike in the future.

Strike Bowling Entertainment Quarter is located near the Allianz, in an area that’s quiet during the week but comes alive on weekends with plenty of restaurants and nightlife. The venue has two floors: the bowling lanes are upstairs, while downstairs you’ll find a fun arcade area. We went as a group of five and chose a $39 per person package, which included two games of bowling and $25 credit each for the arcade. We played bowling, but there are other activities available too, such as laser tag. With the points we earned from the games, we were able to grab some sweets on the way out. Service was friendly and efficient, the facilities were well-maintained, and the whole experience was a 10/10. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Terrible Experience We were in the middle of a game at this bowling alley when, suddenly, the reception informed us that our session would be cut short, claiming we had taken too long to play. This is ridiculous, as we’ve visited multiple times before and never encountered such a time limit. They alleged it was due to the high number of patrons today and the need to adhere to schedules between games. What’s absolutely shameful is that upon arrival, we waited 10 minutes because the ball return system wasn’t functioning properly. Additionally, the staff at the reception was extremely unpleasant. This will be our last visit here, and we absolutely do not recommend this place. There are surely better bowling alleys in Sydney.
