About This Venue
Hyper Karting brings all-weather go-karting to the rooftop of Sydney’s Moore Park Entertainment Quarter, pairing slick electric karts with a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. Three purpose-built tracks cater to different age groups: the Mini Track for budding drivers aged roughly 3 – 7 years (under 120 cm), the Junior Track for 7 – 11 year-olds, and the Main Track where 12 – 15 year-olds can really open the throttle. Comfortable party rooms overlook the circuits, so parents can keep an eye on the action while younger siblings enjoy the free-play arcade area.
Party options range from a quick 10-minute Mini Track block—8 exclusive kart seats for about $112—to fully packaged celebrations that bundle multiple races, arcade credit and optional catering. Packages are sold in three sizes:
- Up to 16 kids · 1 hour – from $600 off-peak / $1,000 on-peak without food, or $800 / $1,200 with eight pizzas & garlic bread.
- Up to 24 kids · 1.5 hours – from $900 / $1,370 (no food) or $1,200 / $1,650 (12 pizzas & garlic bread).
- Up to 32 kids · 2 hours – from $1,200 / $1,825 (no food) or $1,580 / $2,200 (16 pizzas & garlic bread).
All bundles include two exclusive races per child, private party-room hire and pre-loaded arcade cards (50–100 taps depending on package). Self-catering is welcome if pizza isn’t preferred, and dietary adjustments can be arranged with 72 hours’ notice. Closed-toe shoes are required, helmets are supplied, and lightweight electric karts keep the venue fume-free—making Hyper Karting an easy, low-stress choice for parents seeking a high-energy birthday treat.

★★★★★Had an amazing time at Hyper Karting Moorebank! The track is fast and full of adrenaline, perfect for anyone who loves racing. The karts are well maintained and give a real thrill. Staff were super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend for a fun, high-energy experience with friends or family.

★★★★★In order of perceived significance to me: Location is very convenient for a group get together - easy trip on the light rail, and bike parking. Also carpark - because it's in a carpark. The smooth concrete carpark surface is quite sticky for the tyres, but is also quite bumpy at places. The smoothness also means you get instant audible feedback for when your wheels are slipping, thanks to the squealing. The karts are definitely fast, I'd argue borderline too fast for beginners. Beginners won't be able to push it to the limit without going over and sliding out/spinning (from what I saw) which makes it harder (but not impossible) to learn. The regen braking is very aggressive when lifting off, to the point that the friction brakes are barely required. The kart power output can be controlled remotely, so they instantly slow all drivers on track when an incident occurs. The karts also have an automatic pit speed limiter. In those respects, safety is quite good - the chance of a pileup is very low. It may bother you though, getting randomly slowed down due to something that's happened on the other end of the track. But, besides safety, it also ultimately means that you don't get bunched behind the pack who had to navigate around the incident. I don't like loud music, but your mileage may vary. Not bad once the helmet's on and you're concentrating on driving. Visibility is quite good in my opinion, even at night. The karts have brake lights and LED running lights, and the barriers at slow turns are highlighted so you don't miss them when approaching at high speed in dim lighting. The mood lighting isn't too bright to be distracting, but still light up the track enough. The price for off peak sessions is very competitive with other go karting places. Though, during peak times, it can get very steep. Can be as low as $20 /10min on week nights after dinner time. My head barely fit in an XL helmet (I use a L bicycle helmet normally), so if you have an especially large head, you might be better off bringing your own. The record keeping I thought was quite good - they display your fastest lap on a big screen in the lobby at the end of the session, and you can access your history online through RaceFacer. I've seen some other go karting example so I have some vague comparisons, but this is my first driving experience so take that as you will.

★This was my first time go-karting, and unfortunately, it was not a good experience or worth the money. Firstly, there was no staff member present at the line where people are supposed to wait. I asked a staff member when the 10:00pm session would start, and he said he would let us know, so we waited outside as instructed. However, he never informed us that the 10:00pm session had started, and we ended up being late. The staff clearly need training on customer service and understanding the rules. The service was really poor. It also said "no bumping," but there were two white boys repeatedly bumping into other karts, and I even saw a lady who seemed to be injured. I did enjoy driving the go-kart itself, but by that time, my mood was already down, and I wasn’t happy overall. I hope things improve a bit if I visit next time.

★★★★★Super fun experience with friends! They have variety of games other than the hyper kart, but we only tried the hyper kart. The staff were friendly and very very helpful. They explained the rules and safety measures before we play. We booked in advance before coming here. It’s my second time coming here.

★Absolutely Terrible Experience. Attacks were supposedly not allowed, yet people were deliberately crashing into others at full speed and staff did nothing to stop it. It was not just light contact; some drivers were hit so hard their legs flew off the pedals and even got hurt. Instead of stepping in or excluding those aggressive drivers, staff simply stood by and let it happen. Several people had to quit mid-game because of how unsafe it became. I have been to many go-kart places before and none were this poorly controlled. Other tracks have clear rules, active supervision, and immediate intervention when someone drives dangerously. Here it was total chaos with no safety, no enforcement, and no accountability. The staff’s failure to act completely ruined what could have been a fun experience. On top of that, we had to wait for more than 30 minutes before our session. When I asked one of the staff members, he said things could get confusing and told us to wait outside the entry gate. But they never called us in, started the session without a few of us, and we had to join late. That was completely unfair, especially since we paid the same amount as everyone else but received less time on the track. Zero safety, zero control, zero professionalism.
