About This Venue
Pinot & Picasso Castle Hill brings the national paint-and-sip brand to the Hills District with a BYO studio on Old Northern Road that seats up to 35 budding artists per session. Private kids’ parties swap juice boxes for paint pots as an artist host guides every brush-stroke on a 12 × 16-inch canvas, set to family-friendly playlists and plenty of laughs.
Birthday packages start at $49 per child and cover a 90-minute private session any day between 9 am and 3 pm. All paints, brushes, aprons, easels and clean-up are included, while families can BYO snacks and soft drinks or upgrade to studio-arranged pizza and grazing boards from $25 a head. Artwork choices span neon animals to beach scenes and suit painters aged six to sixteen; custom designs are available on request. A non-refundable deposit secures the date, and the Castle Hill team handles set-up so parents can sit back and let the creativity flow.

★★★★★Went there a few weeks ago on a Wednesday night to paint 'Dusk Til Dawn'. Holly the instructor was great, and she did an excellent job of explaining techniques for blending and other necessary skills for achieving good results for this beautiful picture. Holly also provided an excellent song playlist which was turned up while concentrating on painting after being instructed, and turned down again enough to hear the explanation and demonstration for the following steps. Some of the songs got the participants singing or humming along or even dancing a bit, and the vibe created at such times was memorable and quite lovely. Thumbs up.

★★★★★Attended a "paint your pet" session and had an amazing experience. I'm a total novice at painting and not artistic in the slightest - Jamie took her time to help me with colour mixing, answering my beginner questions and advice on how to produce the best painting possible. The end result is a portrait of my cat that I would have never thought possible. Thank you Jamie for all of your help!

★★★★★Pinot Picasso hosted my mum’s 91st Birthday. Four generations of her family painted Starry Starry Night. We danced, sang, drank vino and painted. The art teacher Emily was sensational and made all feel accepted and confident about having.a serious go at being Vincent. Emily earned the respect of all , ages ranging from 6 months to 92 years, by her pleasant and calm manner, her excellent and patient teaching technique and her impressive artistic expertise. As a result, most took the undertaking seriously and we’re proud of their results. My mum said it was different and fun and enjoyable.

★★★Decent enough to experience but a few things that lost stars - not nearly enough wine glasses for the groups. Surely you can see how many people are coming from the bookings - ran out of neon paint - again, if you're hosting a neon night....you know participants in advance - very lacklustre host who clearly was not having a good time. Very rushed. EDIT: Owner has been in touch to offer a redo of our session for free - cannot argue with customer service like that!
