About This Venue
Sydney Cooking School in Neutral Bay transforms its commercial kitchen into a junior MasterChef arena where children aged six to twelve prepare and plate three dishes under the guidance of professional chefs. Younger groups hand‑make empanadas and pizzas before decorating cupcakes, while older budding foodies roll sushi or ravioli, fold dumplings and bake molten chocolate fondants.
Parties start at $65 per child for a minimum of ten guests and include exclusive kitchen hire, all ingredients and equipment, chef tuition, complimentary BYO for adults and time to eat the creations together while the room sings Happy Birthday around the dessert course. A non‑refundable deposit secures the date, menus can be adapted for dietary needs and the venue can host larger mixed‑age celebrations on request.

What Parents Say

★★★★★A few of us from work attended the Paella and Sangria class at Sydney Cooking School, and it was such a fantastic experience! Chef Paul was a wonderful instructor—knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. The sangria was absolutely delicious, and the paella turned out beautifully. Even though I’ve been cooking for years, I picked up some amazing tips and hacks that I’ll definitely take away with me. I’d never made paella before, but now I feel confident enough to try it at home for family and friends. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking to learn something new, cook up some incredible food, and have a really great time while doing it!

★★★★★My family a party of 6 attended the vegetarian class. It would be fair to say it was a masterclass. Paul’s quick humour and warm nature elevated the experience. In this fun environment we were guided through a number of recipes and received a lot more information than I bargained for. My family thoroughly enjoyed the convivial experience. I have walked away with a new found confidence and enthusiasm to replicate the dishes and experiment with new creations at home.Thank you Paul

★★★★★My daughter and I attended the Dumplings and Gyoza cooking class. It was fantastic. Ray made the class informative and useful but it was also a lot of fun with lots of laughs. It was a great experience and we really feel like we learned a great deal. Will definitely book again and try another class.

★★★★So far we've done 3 classes here. Seafood BBQ with Paul This was the best class that we've done, Paul showed us how the tips and tricks on opening oysters. We've cooked most of the dishes several times at home. The fish curry is our favourite dish. Paul is patient and answers questions thoroughly. The recipes provided were accurate and easy to follow. Japanese street food This was great session. It was great to learn how to make the sauces. However I felt like the ingredients were more difficult to source. We've not made the dishes from this course as much. The cabbage pancake was great! The chef was friendly and knowledgeable. The recipes provided were easy to follow. Bread baking This was the most recent class we did. The pastry teacher knew her stuff. However the recipes provided weren't accurate and is not clear. The class was fun and tasty too!
